Game

General

  • Added Damage to Demons and Damage to Undead stat totals to the second page of Character Screen
  • Fire, Cold, Lightning and Physical Thorns now return their damage to melee attacker even if the attack misses or gets blocked or dodged
  • Fire, Lightning and Physical Thorns now also return their damage to ranged attackers - but only when those land an actual hit on you
  • Fixed an issue where Attack Speeds over 255 were not giving any benefits in calculations (e.g. Facebreaker)

Engine

  • Fixed show loot interfering with player movement
  • Integrated D2FPS functionality: less CPU usage, unlocked render frame rate, motion smoothing

Experience

  • Experience required for levels 100-120 increased by 10%
  • The early endgame stage progresses too quickly which results in insufficient upgrades found to prepare characters for harder challenges
  • The level requirement to enter certain dungeons along the campaign areas has been removed (see Dungeons section)

Monsters

  • Monsters using the skill "Gorefest" now use a monster specific version

Areas

  • The Countess: improved the one-time chest rewards from completing the quest
    • Normal: 3 random runes (up to Sol) and 2 Arcane Shards
    • Nightmare: 3 random runes (up to Zod) and 4 Arcane Shards
    • Hell: 1 low Enchanted rune (can be Ol, Elq or Tyr), 1 random rune, 1 Zod, 1 Arcane Crystal
    • 2 sizable piles of gold on all difficulties

Endgame Quests

Library of Fate

  • Avatars of the Zakarum no longer have wings, they are now Justicar exclusive

Heroic Library of Fate

  • Enemies will absorb Lightning this season
  • The Soulforge and the Pearl of Wisdom for this area no longer have the confusing text "Keep in inventory to gain bonus"
    • Note: existing items will no longer function in the cube. Please create new ones
    • Removed deprecated reference to blessing in Soulforge warning
  • Increased experience gain in Trial of the Angiris by 10%
  • Reduced the health of Malthael's Archons and Tyrael's desolators by 30% on all floors
    • Excludes Archons spawned in the Justicar's Gauntlet
  • The Justicar:
    • Allotted time to defeat for bonus reward is now 8 minutes, up from 7
    • Added additional debuff zones to arena
    • Now has 10% Block Chance (affects weapon damage only)
    • Fixed a bug which caused the penalty against stacked damage abilities to not work sometimes

The Mirror Temple

Teganze

  • Trader's Chest:

    • Ghost Trance upgrade recipe now adds +(8-32) to All Attributes, down from +(11-40)

Triune

  • Golden Cycle: fixed a bug that made it occupy 3x1 squares in the inventory
  • Reduced the flat attribute values on cycles:
    • Small cycle now grants +(3-5), instead of +(2-8)
    • Medium cycle now grants +(2-6), instead of +(5-15)
    • Large cycle now grants +(8-12), instead of +(10-20)
    • Now there is a clear hierarchy in attribute bonus per required level increase of Large > Medium > Small
    • Previously small cycles were massively inferior compared to the rest, while the medium and large cycles were similar value

Duncraig

  • Assur's Avatar:
    • Renamed from Assur (true boss battle to be moved to the Heroic Rift)
    • Added "Pierces Fire Resistance" monster description
    • Reduced his Fire Pierce in the Dimensional Labyrinth floors 9 and 10 from 50 to 25
  • Monsters are now correctly classified as Undead
  • Assur's lieutenants are now Emissaries of Assur (true boss battle in the Heroic Rift)
  • Assur's Bane: creation recipe now makes it class bound

Heroic Duncraig

  • A massive expansion to one of the most beloved Median XL rifts
  • The goal was to create an endgame levelling path that makes the most of the unique drop bias and plays differently to both the Labyrinth and the Library
  • Enemies will absorb Magic this season
  • Consists of four different floors with area levels 130, 134, 139, and 140
  • Floors 130-139 have 5 different layouts, these are themed around the miniboss identities
  • Floor 134 introduces the following difficulty modifiers:
    • Bonehexer's Sanctum: -5% max elemental resistances (penalty is reduced by 1% for each 15% curse resistance)
    • Eyegouger's Sanctuary: -100% bonus to Attack Rating, warp and warp strike skill range greatly reduced, -1% Magic Resistance per 1% Avoid Chance
    • Mindflayer's Sanatorium: regenerate mana -50%, -1 to All Skills per 250 Energy
    • Skinrender's Fragmentary: -1 life on striking per 5000 max life, -3% life spark effect per 1000 max life, -20 life regeneration per second per 1000 max life
    • Spinecracker's Abbey: -1% physical resist per 15000 Defense
  • Floor 139:
    • Makes the above difficulty modifiers slightly more punishing
    • The 5 minibosses now appear in their domains and must be eliminated in order to face Assur
    • These are now true boss fights instead of slightly stronger regular enemies
    • Each miniboss drops their own trophy when defeated
    • Cube any 4 (out of 5) boss trophies together to receive a portal scroll for floor 140 (Assur's realm)
  • Floor 140:
    • 2 layouts which feature two difficulty modifiers at once and are double the size
    • The final challenge to defeat Assur will not come in this patch
  • The default monster pool is maintained with the following scaling:
    • Monster damage increases very little when compared to the other endgame paths
    • Instead, monsters get bigger bonuses to their health, and defences
    • Monster Attack Rating is particularly high, making this the only area in the game where Defense isn't amazing mitigation against weapon damage
    • Barrel damage is increased once on floor 130, and once again on floor 139
    • Developer note: active defense (debuffing monsters) is particularly effective in Heroic Duncraig (and in the Heroic Library), unlike in the Dimensional Labyrinth
  • The default drop table and bias are maintained with the following additional reward scaling:
    • Floor 130: +25% Unique Bias, +20% equipment drops, only Sacred Unique (105) crafting altars spawn
    • Floor 134: +40% Unique Bias, +40% equipment drops, all Tier 1 crafting altars spawn
    • Floor 139: +70% Unique Bias, +60% equipment drops, Tier 1 and Tier 2 crafting altars spawn, +10% crafting altars, altar success chance +40%
    • FLoor 140: +90% Unique Bias, +75% equipment drops, Tier 1 and Tier 2 crafting altars spawn, +20% crafting altars, altar success chance +60%
  • Desecrated altars
    • Can be purified for a chance at special crafting recipes
    • If purification is successful recipe and conditions are visible above shrine
    • Approach the shrine and craft once you receive its blessing
  • Paragon of Sanctity: receive rewards for reaching high Character Levels and for farming Heroic Duncraig
  • Requirements:
    • Create a Mark of Sanctity by transmuting your Demonsbane charm with 5 Sacred Uniques
    • Transmute this mark with your Paragon's hammer, requires 3 charges
    • Learn the "Paragon of Sanctity" reward skill

Dimensional Labyrinth

  • Awakening drops from the Startled Witch on yellow floors reduced by 25%
  • Unstable Anomaly: Blood Magic is now a curse and hence its duration can be reduced
  • Experience gain on floors 8, 9, and 10 reduced by 10%

Endgame Dungeons

The level requirements for all Endgame dungeons located along the story areas have been set to 100

  • This is to ensure that players can always dip into adjacent quests as they progress through the acts on Hell if they want, in order to keep progression smooth
  • The only exception to this will be the Binding of Baal quest, which will see its level requirement increased to 115 as it is too difficult for most players to attempt when first accessible

Horror under Tristram

  • Required level is now 100

Invasion

  • Required level is now 100
  • Fixed a bug that caused the random targeted single Rift Bolts to stop falling down from the sky

Death Projector

  • Required level is now 100

Binding of Baal

  • Required level is now 115

Horazon's Sanctum

Heart of Darkness

  • Reduced the radius of the arenas in phase 1 and 2 by one tile
  • Prevents breaking certain boss mechanics by killing bosses near the edge

The Void

  • Inarius:
    • No longer spams his blue ball novas under certain conditions
    • Novas should be more in sync with the client now (turn invisible less)

Deimoss

  • Has decided to decorate some dodgy corners of her arena with candles
  • Now drops items, giving reasons not to skip her at the end of non-key-upgrade Lab 10 runs
    • High chance to drop 1-2 Sacred Uniques
    • Mid chance to drop Occult Effigies
    • Very low chance to drop a Dream Fragment or Star Chart piece

Main

  • Fixed some minor tooltip inconsistencies for Colosseum, Timefield, Barrage, Trinity Arrow, Blood Fury, Resurrect, Screaming Eagle, Paladin Vessels, Nightmare, Split Arrow, Screaming Eagle (and Banish since they shared the line), Primal Dominance, Summon Edyrem, Windform, Witch Blood, Heaven's Fury, Deathstrike, Gift of Blood, Relentless, Chaos Nova, Nova Bomb, Stormlord, Lifestealer, Gale Force, Lava Pit and Stampede

Amazon

Blood

  • Percentage Life drain from her passives no longer keeps scaling past 25,000 Maximum Life

    • This is equal to -250 per passive (-500 on Forbidden Knowledge)
  • Fire Elementals:

    • Now inherit your Fire Spell Damage, Energy and Spell Focus by default. Related items are reworked
    • Reduced maximum number of Fire Elementals you can summon from 15 to 10
    • Fire Spell Damage and Fire Pierce: scaling is now +1% per Skill Level and +1% per Base Level
    • Cleaned up sound effects of the skill and the Elementals themselves
  • Lava Pit:

    • Duration increased from 2 to 3 seconds
    • Simplified projectile chain in order to improve performance
    • Removed visual only fire patch which spawned next to the character
    • Radius increased to 2 yards, up from 1 yard

Storm

  • Lightning Shield: now on the Storm tree (middle path, accessible to both hammer and caster)
    • Now gives +3 flat Elemental and Magic Damage reduction per Skill Level (Amazon only)
    • Lightning thorns base damage doubled. Increased by a percentage equal to (whichever is higher):
    • Double your caster synergy (energy, spell focus, lightning spell damage, etc)
    • 15% per 1% Weapon Physical Damage (this value also considers Reckoning of Zerae's damage bonus on the hammer path)
    • Replaced Barbarian cast sound with a new one

Spear

  • Hyena Strike:
    • Now reduces it's spread radius by 90% when you have any fury charges.
    • Fury will serve as the distinction between clear and single target. In harder areas players will have to either play without fury charges or clear with another wdm skill
    • Damage bonus per charge is now 9%, down from 10%
    • Damage reduced by 58%, but now scales with your Innate Elemental Damage

  • War Spirit: fixed Life after Each Kill still showing up in the tooltip under certain conditions

Assassin

Claw

  • Bat Strike: Second upgrade (bat nova) now activates at Character Level 120, down from 125

Throwing

  • Wychwind:
    • Fixed a bug that caused the skill to hit 6x more per cast than intended
    • Weapon damage increased to 50%, up from 30% (reverts the 2.10 nerf)

Naginata

  • Barrier Strike:
    • Second Upgrade now activates at Character Level 120, down from 130
    • Now properly counts as a melee attack (can use on melee attack triggers, life/mana on melee etc)

Reward

  • Beacon: "nuclear launch detected" sound volume raised

Barbarian

Earthshaker

  • Earthquake:
    • Reduced visual density
    • Moved 20% Weapon Damage modifier from Aftershock to Tremor, to alleviate damage cap issues
  • Shower of Rocks:
    • Added an extra rockfall wave over the duration
    • As a result damage per attack increased by 12.5%
    • Weapon Damage Modifier reduced to 142% (no change to total damage per attack)
    • Change was made to help alleviate damage cap issues

Elementalist

  • Thunderstorm:
    • Weapon Damage Modifier reduced to 150%, to alleviate damage cap issues
    • Area of Effect increased by 26%
    • Duration increased by 33%
  • Primordial Strike:
    • Bonus damage now scales from Strength or Dexterity (whichever is highest) instead of both, to alleviate damage cap issues

Warmonger

  • Bloodthirst: life steal added as elemental pierce now 150%, down from 200%
  • Overkill: axe scaling for non-Barbarians now 1 per 4 Skill Levels, up from 1 per 3 Skill Levels

Nomad

  • Mountain King:
    • Bonus attributes per Skill Level is now always 1%, instead of diminishing. Skill Levels do not grant any attributes above level 16
    • Maximum Base Level is now 20, down from 25

Druid

Hunter

  • Cascade: now dispels any shapeshifting

Nature

  • Infected Roots: damage reduced by 20%

Werebear

  • Ravage: new skill
    • Requires an axe or mace like other bear skills
    • Tears through a large area causing massive gore weapon damage explosions
    • Gains added fire damage per level, increasing by 10% per Base Level
    • Gains an additional 10% increased fire damage per 1% Life Steal
    • Lose 7 life per second per Skill Level while using, and an additional 3 per Base Level
    • Also creates a smaller, shorter duration ravage around the Druid to help with attacking near walls

Necromancer

Deathspeaker

  • Death Pact:
    • Fixed an issue causing death pact to grant its Base Level 1 spell damage regardless of whether you had points in the skill

Malice

  • Torment: new single target poison melee spell
    • Conjure toxic spirits to bombard your target
    • Each ghost deals instant poison damage, instead of over time like other poison skills, making use of the higher hit count of this spell
    • Because this poison damage happens instantly, it does not interfere with poison Malice's primary clear skill: Pestilence
    • Locks out Death Ripple (and vice versa)
  • Relentless: new upgrade for Torment
    • Doubles number of ghosts spawned by torment, adds life on melee attack and Attack Rating during torment effect.
    • Flat Attack Rating scales with Skill Level, percentage Attack Rating bonus scales with Base Level
    • Halves Nightwalker damage bonus (including items with orange text that grant Malice skill damage)
  • Rearranged Malice tree
    • You can now start from either the top or bottom of the Malice tree, making your way towards the middle.
    • Death ripple is at the top of the tree, and Torment is at the bottom, and both skills can have points placed into them from level one.
  • Dream Eater: Now requires Death Ripple
  • Terror:
    • Now requires Dream Eater
    • No longer causes Dream Eater to lower enemy poison resistance
  • Occult Path:
    • Now requires Dream Eater
    • Total spell damage bonus from death pact increased by 4% per character level above 125 (to compensate for losing the extra points from the poison side)
    • This results in a small overall buff to physical/magic Malice skills compared to previously
    • Now gives 1% Physical Resist per 3 Base Levels in the Malice tree, down from 4
  • Nightwalker:
    • Now requires either Pestilence or Dream Eater
    • Now counts itself as a "Malice tree skill" for the poison length reduction it gives
  • Exile: removed
  • Soul Sever: removed
  • Gift of blood: new passive skill
    • Sacrifice your maximum life to gain damage avoidance
    • Effect scales with points in the Malice tree: -1% Max Life per 4 Base Levels, +1% chance to Avoid per 3 Base Levels
    • Restricts you to melee skills only
  • Pestilence:
    • Damage reduced by 11%
    • Now accessible at level 5
    • Starting mana cost lowered

Crossbow

  • Flameburst Shot: now 85% weapon damage, down from 120%
  • Catapult Shot: Weapon Damage reduced from 70% to 55%
  • Alchemical Preparation: Now gains 1% Innate Elemental Damage per Skill Level, up from 1 every 3

Summon

  • Summon Night Hawks: +1 maximum hawk per 3 Land of the Dead Base Levels
  • Chaos Nova: now requires 5 points to achieve maximum effect, down from 10
  • Violent Immolation: now requires 6 points to achieve maximum effect, down from 10
    • Results in a small total increase to Deadly Strike gained by the hawks

Reward

  • Graveyard: moved to an oSkill. All items that gave this skill now reference the oSkill version.
  • Land of the Dead: replaces Graveyard
    • Provides the same life regeneration benefits as Graveyard did
    • This bonus now also checks for physical/magic spell damage when determining what is higher to calculate regeneration
    • Effect changes based on how the player specs their character
    • With base points in Death Ripple: periodically casts Exile (old necromancer curse converting enemies against their allies for a duration)
    • With base points in Torment: periodically casts a new debuff that lowers enemy poison resistance and move speed per Base Level
    • With no base points in the Malice tree: periodically casts your Night Hawks skill (respecting your # of hawks summoned, damage, minion cap etc on the skill)

Paladin

Templar

  • Holy Fire:
    • Damage reduced by 31%
    • Now scales with half of your Innate Elemental Damage bonus
    • It needs 104% Innate Elemental Damage to break even with prior numbers
    • Divine Judgement: now converts 60% of physical damage to magic, lowered by 2% per Base Level

Reward

  • Dragon Blessing:
    • Base attribute bonus is now 12%, down from 15%
    • Attribute bonus from Skill Levels stops scaling after Skill Level 22
    • Added Base Level synergy of 2% All Attributes per Base Level
    • Fixed missing synergy text on tooltip
  • Resurrect:
    • Resurrected minions now inherit your Elemental Pierce
    • Skill remembers what successfully resurrected last, that data persists between games
  • Habeas Corpus: new skill, requires at least 1 point in Resurrect
    • Spawns the corpses of the enemy you last resurrected
    • 30 second cooldown

Sorceress

Arcane

  • Arcane Fury: now gives 85% damage reduction, down from 92%

Cold

  • Ice Elementals:
    • Added "Elementals inherit your Cold Spell Damage, Cold Pierce, Energy and Spell Focus" line to the tooltip for clarity (they already had those)
    • Now have 40% Chance to Cast level 3/33/63 Glacial Nova on Death

Item Only Skills

  • Guided Chain:
    • Hit rate of bounces improved
    • Projectiles travel faster and last a shorter duration before "bouncing"
    • Now bounces 6 times (down from 9)
    • With 80 move speed or 500 spell focus: bounces 2 more times (8 total)
    • With 160 move speed or 1000 spell focus: bounces an additional 2 times (10 total)
    • You can hit these breakpoints with a combination of these 2 stats (at least 80 move speed and 500 spell focus). There is no bonus for hitting the second breakpoint on both
    • Now gains 10% magic damage conversion per bounce, starts at 50%
    • Starting conversion reduced by 10% per additional bounce
    • Brand new icon
    • Now spawns on bolt quivers
  • Lightning Shield:
    • Items and affixes providing this skill now reference the Amazon version
  • Flash:
    • Is now a melee attack (can use on melee attack triggers, life/mana on melee etc)
    • Damage gain per Skill Level lowered by 30%
    • Hit rate uncapped and roughly doubled based on positioning
    • As a result of this change, the skill now deals more damage to closer enemies
    • Character sheet now displays Attack Rating
  • Spiral Dance:
    • Dancers now hit when travelling outwards
    • Now behaves differently based on your equipped weapon
    • While using a two-handed weapon or dual wielding, deals higher damage in a larger area
    • While wielding a one handed weapon, multi-hits but deals damage in a much smaller area
  • Cherubim: now rolls with a low Skill Level on Paladin hammers and the Soulbinder gloves
  • Sandstorm: reworked
    • Now gains 1% Weapon Physical Damage per 1% Attack Speed during effect
    • Note: this bonus does not count for other skills which scale with Weapon Physical Damage bonuses (e.g. Tectonics, Ice Lance)
    • Weapon damage now 110%
    • Now converts 60% weapon damage to magic
    • Now rolls on naginatas, staves, and spears.
  • Heaven's Fury: new Paladin oSkill; consecrates an area, rapidly smiting enemies inside. Deals weapon damage.
    • Gains added magic damage per Skill Level of divine judgement, retaliate, and cherubim
    • Consecrated area increases with your damage to demons stat
    • Converts 70% of physical damage to magic
    • Can spawn on relics
    • Developer note: this skill was created to answer Templar Paladin's requests for a single target skill that works well on fast moving targets, as Divine Judgement is strong but situational. This should be the answer you've been looking for, without disturbing Templar early game balance
  • ATMG: increased Innate Elemental Damage upgrade thresholds
    • First upgrade: now 60%, up from 55%
    • Second upgrade: now 140%, up from 110%
    • Mana cost per level increased by 1
    • Now spawns with halved skill level on the Soulbinder gloves
  • Devouring Cloud: all sources of this skill now reference the Druid version (some affixes previously gave an older/weaker version)
  • Purify: fixed tooltip, incorrectly reported 25 more total damage
  • Ancient's Hand / Iceburst / Stormblast:
    • Normalized ranges, so skills are now on par with each other in that regard
    • Removed fiery meatballs from Ancient's Hand and overlapping thunderclap sounds from Stormblast
  • Summon Glowing Fungus/Frostwalker/Sinner: level required to summon more minions changed from 120/135/150 to 115/130/145
  • Timefield: can now be used with Melee Devotion
  • Tantrum: is now unbearable, in fact it can no longer be used in any Druid morphs
  • Deathgaze: now also useable with swords. Tooltip has been corrected
  • Claw Tornado (procs): renamed to Tornado, now multihit, weapon damage now 140%, up from 90%
  • Hurricane: reworked and added to Windforce, relic disabled
    • Is now a channeling weapon damage skill, damage and radius scales with missing stamina, hits more times at the center
    • 50% total incoming damage reduction replaced with 50% chance to Avoid Damage (while channeling)
  • Serafiend Prison:
    • New Warp Strike with 15 second cooldown that creates a Bone Prison upon arrival, enclosing you and your target for 5 seconds
    • Applies 25% movement slow to imprisoned enemies and reduces range of most enemy teleport skills

Items

General Changes

  • New Belladonna functionality: transmute with certain boss charms to toggle visual effects
    • Currently works with: upgraded Samael Charm, upgraded Justicar Charm, I Am Rich gem
  • Created containers for Apples and Belladonnas with a capacity of 500
  • Increased stack limit of Signet containers to 500
  • Perfect Rainbow Stones: Curse Length Reduction in shields reduced from 10% to 6% (lower gem tiers scaled down accordingly)
  • The Boulder: now rolls (6 to 8)% Weapon Physical Damage from static 6
  • Apples: fixed a critical bug where they were regenerating 97 life per second instead of 100 per second
  • Ripstar:
    • Required level is now 70
    • Halved maximum damage value per level
    • Added +20 flat physical damage
    • Average damage value of this ring is unchanged
  • Increased tooltip priority on Movement Speed so that it shows above procs. It's an essential property of boots that should be on top (still under +skills though)
  • "Shrine Blessed" tag should no longer sneak in between "Corrupted" and "Cube with Oil of Craft to Reveal"
  • Changes to added physical damage affixes on items:
    • Replaced a portion of maximum physical damage affixes on Runewords, Rares, Sets, Sacred Uniques, and from cube recipes with minimum physical damage
    • The goal of this change is to make it harder for physical weapon users to reach the damage cap
    • Many items will also become better on average, with damage rolls having a lower variance
    • Note: the changes are such that your average physical damage will remain the same. I.e. no changes to damage per second
    • This rework is not retroactive and will only affect newly dropped/created items
  • Acidburn:
    • Renamed to Athame
    • Sorceress and Druid Skill Levels replaced with Paladin and Necromancer
    • Added mana regeneration to all tiers
  • Fixed a bug where some Mastercrafted items could be made into honorifics
  • Hunger TU Jewel: Increased life leech from 1% to 2%, mana on kill rolls brought up to match life on kill
  • Clarified that items granting "Malice skill damage" are actually adding to Nightwalker's passive
  • Grim Fang: Holy Fire Skill Levels (roughly) halved

Item Affixes

  • Tiered Unique Rings, Amulets, and Jewels can no longer be disenchanted for Signets of Learning
    • The same will apply for the newly introduced Sacred Essence
    • This change is not retroactive
  • Arrow proc chance on weapons reduced from 13/17 to 12/15% (non-angelic/angelic)
  • Arrow proc chance on quivers reduced from 7 to 6%
  • Added 2% ctc level 50 Ice Lance on striking to quivers
  • Added 1% ctc level 6 Tornado on striking to quivers
  • Innate Elemental Damage on rings moved from group 112 to group 107 (added phys damage group). Meaning IED and flat phys are now mutually exclusive, while it also allows rings to spawn with both IED and LoS at the same time
  • Fixed a bug where the top tier Angelic minimum damage affix was spawning 33x more often than intended

Runes and Gems

  • Arcane Rune: bonus in weapons now 4%, down from 5%. Bonus in armor now 2%, down from 3%

Mystic Orbs

  • Lodestone: increased Spell Damage from 5 to 6%, added 6 Spell Focus
  • Nagapearl: Gold Find increased from 10 to 15%
  • Endless Light: Elemental Pierce increased from 2 to 3%
  • Idol of Stars: Strength and Dexterity reduced from 14 to 13
  • Explorer's Globe: reduced flat attribute penalty from -5 to -2
  • Imperfect Sphere: all 3 versions of it now share the same limit (so it's 1 max per item), as was originally intended
    • Lowered added level requirement from 16 to 10
  • Normal Mystic Orbs:
    • (armor) Curse Length Reduction lowered from 4 to 3%
    • (armor) Life Regeneration lowered from 15 to 12
    • (armor) Total Character Defense increased from 4 to 5%
    • (jewelry) Physical Damage Reduction increased from 4 to 5
    • (jewelry) Life increased from 20 to 25
    • (weapon) Experience Gained increased from 1 to 2%

Occult Effigies

  • Northern Winds: new
    • Usable on any Armor without Maximum Cold Resist
    • Adds Half Freeze Duration
    • If Half Freeze Duration affix is already present, upgrade it to Cannot Be Frozen
    • If Cannot be Frozen affix is already present, add Maximum Cold Resist +1%
    • Required Level +8
  • Craftsman's Brand: new
    • Usable on Magic Quivers
    • Grants double Mystic Orb effect modifier
    • Required Level +25

Sacred Uniques

  • Hadad: Lightning Shield proc is now the same as the Amazon version
  • Serenthia's Scorn: poison pierce per great/elemental rune now 4%
  • Dreamweaver: fixed a bug that made it boost Queen of Blades activation frequency
  • Malleus Maleficarum: Widowmaker Proc replaced with Heaven's Fury
  • Hivemind: removed
  • Blessed Wrath: reworked, most mods removed, now an SU on Blackguard Helm base replacing Hivemind
    • Can be Blessed up to 5 times, Blessings are intensified
    • For each Blessed item equipped: +1 to All Skills, Max Fire and Cold Resists +1%, +50 Life after each kill
    • Only counts Blessed items and not number of Blessings, i.e. won't benefit from multibless projects
  • Facebreaker: now gains 1% Attack Speed and Attack rating per 25 Strength, up from 20. Base block chance reduction now rolls (-1 to -3)%
  • The Vanquisher: removed the secondary 10% Mind FLay damage penalty, fixed orange mod giving 20% instead of 30%
  • Stormpick: orange mod scaling improved from 1% Lightning Spell Damage per 2% Gold Find to 3% per 5% Gold Find
  • Angel's Wrath: reworked
    • Replaced Class Skills with a singular (0 to 2) All Skills roll
    • Now grants two oSkills: (3 to 6) to Cherubim and (3 to 6) to Serafiend Prison
    • Added a new orange mod. Cherubim: -1.5 Second Cooldown while wielding a Two-Handed Melee Weapon
  • Unveiling Eye: increased Spell Focus per Hidden Craft from 25 to 50
  • Peace Warder:
    • Barbarian skill rolls now (0-3), down from 0-5. This is a buff due to Fortress builds using this item wanting as low Skill Level as possible
    • Pierce chance granted to Fortress now 60%
  • Hand of Rathma: level requirement lowered from 100 to 80
  • Stake Driver:
    • Now has a 17% Chance to Stake Enemies on Melee Attack (-25% enemy movement speed, nullifies range of most teleport skills)
    • Stake also spawns spikes which deal 50% Weapon Damage
    • Increased Damage to Undead from (100-150)% to (200-350)%
    • Added Minimum Damage (86-127). Maximum Damage lowered to (138-212)
  • Vision of the Furies:
    • Lava Pit: 3.5 second Cooldown. Continuously spawns Fire Elementals over its duration
    • Added variance to some affixes, so it doesn't drop "perfect" all the time. Defense replaced with Bonus Defense
    • Moved fire spell damage affix to Redeemer
  • Redeemer:
    • Jitan's Gate triggers Summon Fire Elemental 12 times
    • Now reduces the cooldown of Jitan's Gate by 1 second
    • Reworked the other affixes
    • Grants Ignis Mortem oSkill which sends Fire Elementals to the afterlife instantly when summoned (can be toggled on/off). Drains 1% of Maximum Life per second while active.
  • Dux Infernum: fixed Hellfire aura tooltip stating 18 elemental pierce instead of the intended 16
  • Tylwulf's Betrayal: fully reworked, most stats changed
    • Is now an item that allows you to summon temporary enemies that attack you, which can allow things like Javazons block passives to be activated manually
    • Unique oSkill: Visions of the Past - summon a vengeful specter from Tylwulf's past. It is a stationary hostile archer that starts dissipating quickly upon taking any damage (Sword now has some amount of physical thorns, so Archers will almost always be on a timer)
    • Now 3% of Missing Life added as Flat Physical Damage Reduction
    • There might not be many applications for this sword as of now, but there might be some when-struck/taking-damage-centered items/skills in the future that would synergize with this
  • Ring of Woe: chances for success/brick improved oh so slightly from 65%/35% to 67%/33%
  • Elemental Band:
    • Lightning Arena replaced with Frigid Domain, so Band now has a skill of each element
    • Added a special recipe: Cube with one of the matching relics to specialize
    • Can be cubed with Path of Flames/Nova Charge/Frigid Domain/Hive relics. Ring changes into one focused on that oSkill and its element
    • Relic is consumed in the process
  • Soul Reaver: changed base from Bonesplitter to a Scythe
  • Body of the Forbidden One: Elemental Pierce changed from a roll to a static -50%
  • Lilith's Temptation: added a recipe to recharge Goblin Glee: Belt + Sacred Essence + Ist rune. Maximum number of charges reduced from 50 to 30
  • Guardian of Scosglen: now comes with up to 255 charges of level 55 Trinity Arrow
    • Cube with Sacred Essence + Um rune to recharge
  • Mjolner: gained access to Thundergod
  • Dervish of Aranoch:
    • Tornado: +1 Extra Projectile with 400% Attack Speed
    • Tornado proc chance reduced from 5% to 4%
  • Nimmenjuushin: Tornado proc chance reduced from 8% to 5%
  • Locket of Dreams: item level increased to 120
    • Now gain +1 to Maximum Stamina per 60 Vitality
  • Alnair: Removed Minion Life and Minion Resistances. Added Deadly Strike and Minion Attack Rating
  • Black Razor:
    • Base curse duration increased from 25 to 45 seconds
    • 6th Curse no longer reduces Maximum Life. Now instead reduces range of most teleport skills. Curse Length Reduction debuff increased from 40% to 80%
  • Arkenstone: now has item level 130, dethrones Jewel of Luck for being the rarest jewel in the game
    • Physical Resist raised to 3%, flat life regen removed
    • New unique mod: Crown Jewel (gives extra bonuses while it is the only jewel socketed in all your gear)
    • Maximum Elemental Resists +1%; Regenerate 2% of Maximum Life per second; counts as 10 equipped jewels
  • Bitter Harvest -> added a special recipe
    • If you have killed over 50 000 Enemies in Level 130 Duncraig: Cube to change class restriction to your class
    • Recipe uses total kill count of your character in that area, there is no need to wear the item itself to accumulate the kills needed
  • Radiance: Spell Focus per light radius increased from 2 to 5, Fire Pierce roll increased from (15-20)% to (15-25)%
  • Lorekeeper:
    • Spiral Dance: will now always choose its single target variant while affected by Firedance
    • Added +(10-16) Spiral Dance roll
  • Crimson Dream:
    • Removed 300 Life Regen, added 50-80% Mana Regen
    • Removed Antimass, added an orange mod: "15% of Damage is taken from Mana before Life"
    • Added 3% Chance to Cast level 20 Mana Sweep when Attacked (in melee)
    • Reduced Amazon skills to +(3-4), Eldritch Storm and Lava Pit to +(4-6)
  • Azgar's Crystal: Now also grants 10% Grit while in Werewolf form
  • Windforce: removed old orange mod, item level raised to 130
    • Now Steady tailwinds follow wherever you go (radius scales with stamina spent)
    • Tornado proc chance reduced from 10% to 3%
    • Lower Stamina Drain removed, added 75% Magic Find
    • Grants level 25 Hurricane oSkill
  • Elemental Trance: removed +1 to All Skills, pierce scaling from attributes now 0.75%, down from 1%
  • Deckard Cain's Heirloom: removed +1 to All Skills, spell damage from experience reduced from 2.5% to 2%
  • Black Ice: life on striking is now 4, down from 5
  • Phoenix Beak: added Half Freeze Duration

New Sacred Uniques

  • Schaefer's Hammer: item level 120
    • War hammer granting lightning damage based on the character's current mana
    • The return of a powerful skill from Median's past as a proc (Magnetic Field)
  • Cagebreaker: item level 105
    • War hammer granting fire damage based on your total Life Steal
  • Inarius' Might: item level 120
    • Hundsgugel, supports the new Heaven's Fury oSkill
  • Jeweled Crown: item level 105
    • Einherjar Helm replacing Crown of Arnazeus
    • Grants: 1% of total Vitality added as Energy for each Jewel in your gear
    • Comes with Psicrown and Psionic Storm oSkills

Sets

  • Wintertide: Blizzard and Frozen Orb now gain 1% Total Damage per 5% Magic Find, up from 7%

Runewords

  • Banshee: removed/replaced with Tailwind
  • Tailwind: new level 50 bow runeword, supporting physical bows and the reworked Guided Chain oSkill
  • Voodoo Branch: new javelin runeword, giving poison spell damage based on Attack Speed
  • Stoneharpe: maximum physical damage reduced by 50
  • Kodiak: Idol of Scosglen cooldown reduction replaced with (20-30)% Fire Pierce
  • Hellfire Plate:
    • Removed bonus to All Resistances
    • Removed old orange modifier
    • Now adds +50% Innate Elemental Damage
    • New orange modifier: -5% Innate Elemental Damage per 1% Fire Absorb
  • Wind Runner: reworked
    • Now requires Iah rune instead of one of the Stones (now Sil-Iah-Elq-Gul, required level is now 120)
    • Reduced Flat Physical Damage from (27-70) to (10-20), All Skills removed. Added -25% requirements
    • New mechanic: No stamina regeneration. Whenever you run out of stamina:
    • Fully restore it, heal 20 Life for each point restored. Gain Maximum Physical Damage buff based on Maximum Stamina (duration also scales based on max stamina)
  • Eternal:
    Median turned 20 years old this year, runeword updated to commemorate that (and to be slightly more competitive for modern standards)
    • 10 maximum physical damage removed, added +1% to all Maximum Elemental Resists
    • added rolls to deadly strike and spell focus, maximum roll on elemental pierce increased to 20%

Relics

  • Fire Elemental and Ice Elemental relics now have a combo mod:
    • Summon one extra Elemental with each cast while carrying both relics (Summon Fire Elemental - Summon Ice Elemental)
    • Ice Elemental relic now gives 5-8% cold pierce instead of minion damage
  • Jitan's Gate: Jitan's Gate cooldown reduction increased from 1 to 2 seconds
  • Lightning shield:
    • No longer gives 200 flat lightning thorns. It now removes the amazon only restriction for the skill's damage reduction, but provides it at 33% value
  • ATMG: now only gives +1 to the skill, down from +(2-5), and no longer gives mana on striking
  • Flash: halved Skill Level rolls
  • Added Serafiend Prison relic
  • Added Heaven's Fury relic
  • Added Habeas Corpus relic
  • Added Frigid Domain relic
